milo-bot

Here's my latest softie. A present for a little month old baby boy Milo... It was meant to be a "as soon as your born" present but, it ended up being a "sure, it's late, but, hey it's your first "monthday"" present.
It was interesting making it as it is my very first full "3d" toy and and I decided to try fancy new tricks for the first time, like the hidden button joint trick (oooh aaaah how swish, you can find a tutorial here, it literally saved my life!!), why not a chest cavity with a heart trick and finally the embroidered name in glorious glow-in-the-dark thread (unfortunately, I'm not clever enough to be able to take a picture of it, but believe me it looks very cool.
As I was finishing the robot my lovely bearfriend asked me if I was't sad to let it go, I think that it was because I was hugging it every 5 seconds... Well the softie must be tested, right?
But, without thinking my answer was very simple, I believe that I created a "best friend", as I was sewing it all I had in my mind was images of potential Milo growing up and loving it, in a sort of "calvin and hobbes" way.
Maybe, I'm just hoping for too much, but, wouldn't it be great if the Milo-bot was properly loved?

Milo-Bot is wonderful. All he needs is a special friend, you can see it in his eyes.

Why does he keep his heart hidden behind a steel panel? Perhaps his master, a cruel factory owner, would have him dismantled if he knew what he was hiding. Only the master's lovely daughter knows his secret...

:) that's such a cool story, and only a cool gent would think of it. When are you coming back?

There you have it. I'm back.

I knew that you were coming back, I just didn't know when. We must meet up, get all the old gang back together (minus Tim, he's having far too much fun in Vancouver)
