my very first illustration friday submission!!

Ok, so I gathered some courage and finally decided to send one of my works to the Illustration Friday website. This week the subject was the word "hide".
Hope that you'll like it!

Good job for posting! You obviously have great drawing ability. I like the lines left in but the paper texture. And perfect pose (my 5 year old does this if he can't get behind my leg).

Fabulous! This is a perfect example for HIDE. The background, the dress, the child hiding her face, the rich colors and that splash of red, make an intriguingly beautiful statement.
Great job!

that's really cute, love the way she's got her shirt pulled up to hide her face!

Os meus parabéns Sandra! Uma ilustração linda, muito bem conseguida. Adoro os padrões e acho que está muito bem desenhado, também gosto das linhas do lápis.
Keep going!

thank you so much for all your lovely comments!! I wasn't expecting to feel so welcomed. when i finished this picture i realised that I had just done a portrait of myself when I was about 5 or 6. there was a whole different world inside my woolly jumpers and shirts.
Sometimes it was safer there!!

This made me chuckle because it brought back memories of my niece! Very nice. I like how you were not afraid of too many patterns. It really works!

Spot on...it's funny how 'shy kids' can be sometimes and at other times you almost have to muzzle em....

Nice, nice. Like the interplay of blue/white patterns with the sketchy pencil marks for her hair and hands. You're begun Illustration Friday with a bang!
